The Leanna Piver Memorial Scholarship

Leanna
proudly cheered on the Panthers for all four years while at Parkview High
School. She was a special young lady who lived life to the fullest. While at
Parkview, Leanna portrayed the qualities of leadership, school spirit and
friendship to all she came in contact with. She was an outstanding student, an
athlete, student council co-president as well as a talented thespian. Not only
was she respected by her peers, but by her teachers and coaches as
well.
Leanna continued her education at Georgia Tech, where she was a
Cheerleader, ZTA Sorority member and Dean’s List Scholar. She loved
life and
accomplished a great deal in her 20 years. Unfortunately, Leanna died in an
automobile accident in November of 1998. Each year we recognize and award
outstanding seniors who display the same academic performance, school spirit,
community involvement and leadership skills as Leanna. Her memory and legacy
will live on through her scholarship funds here at Parkview and at Georgia Tech.
